Description

The association works to advance the development of the film industry and to protect the interest of the people involved in the industry, including filing legal proceedings against any infringement of copyrights on behalf of members. Other services include representing the industry to communicate with local or foreign goverment department & other film association, providing copyright information of Hong Kong films and compiling daily report for Box Office in Hong Kong. The association has also been appointed by the National Copyright Administration of China since 1993 as the sole copyright authentication body for films produced in Hong Kong, and the Certificate of Royalty issued by the association is recognised and endorsed by most countries.
