HAMPTONS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Description

Variety recently called HIFF “Telluride East,” citing it as “one of America’s most glamorous displays of the best in cutting-edge cinema” and “the place to see emerging talent before they become marquee names.” The Festival screened the eventual Oscar Best Picture winner 11 years in a row, the only festival in the world with such a distinction. HIFF was named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World and one of 50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee.

Objective

HIFF strives to discover & support new artists while also presenting the year's best in international cinema. With its uniquely influential audiences of media elite & industry decision makers, these selections continue to play an important role during awards season, with many titles highlighted each year at the Oscars (44 nominations in 2023, 571 since 2009). Three of Cannes 2023 competition titles (THE OLD OAK, MONSTER, FOUR DAUGHTERS) had their US or N American premieres at HIFF23 as well.
