HALAL PICTURES
Description
HALAL produced several internationally successful feature films, documentaries, short films and series. Founder and head of the scripted department Gijs Kerbosch started HALAL with the cult hit series New Kids and coproduced New Kids Turbo and New Kids Nitro, which had over 2.000.000 admissions in The Netherlands and Germany. Feature film Prince (2015) received a Special Mention at the Berlinale and eight nominations for the Golden Calves at the Netherlands Film Festival. The international co-production Necktie Youth (2016) also premiered at the Berlinale. Feature film Cargo (2017) had its international premiere at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Short film Un Creux dans mon Coeur premiered at the Berlinale and was the official Dutch Oscar® submission for the Short Film Awards in 2015. Short film Spoetnik (2016) had its world premiere in Berlin and was awarded Best European Short Film at the Nijmegen Go Short International Film Festival. In 2017, no less than two feature
