Description
The 34th Films from the South festival is up and coming November 9-17, 2024 in Oslo; focusing Asian, African and Latin-American film. A project under the umbrella of the Oslo Festival Agency Foundation; including festivals Oslo Pix (late august) and Arab Filmdays (april).Part ownership in Film and Theatre House: Vega Scene. Running production fund SØRFOND and participating in buyers scheme FILMPOOLEN. We love global filmculture!
Objective
Being part of the Oslo Festival Agency Foundation, our objective is on a broad level to defend the future of Art Cinema - through our three festivals, financial schemes as SØRFOND, making theatrical releases through FILMPOOOLEN and organizing valuable content for our new cinema and theatre Vega Scene in Oslo.Creating a boost for the love of an alternative to commercial cinema is in the heart of our quest.In all countries this creates a challenge, and we support it with our dedicated contribution
