Description
El Árbol Azul S.C.R.L. was founded in 2009 by filmmakers Joanna Lombardi Pollarolo and Francisco J. Lombardi to develop fiction projects for cinema and television. It is a new company formed by people with experience in audiovisual media. The company’s first project was the short film DE NOCHE, written and directed by Joanna Lombardi Pollarolo, which received three awards in the Conacine 2009 Short Film Competition. Best Short Film, Best Direction, and Best Actress – Melania Urbina In 2009, El Árbol Azul presented the feature-length film CASADENTRO to the Ibermedia Competition, where it won funds for the development stage. In 2010, CASADENTRO project won public funding awarded by Conacine in Peru. In 2011, El Árbol Azul produced UNA MUJER, shortfilm directed by Joanna Lombardi which was selected for the official selection in La Habana Film Festival In 2012, CASADENTRO won Golden Zenit at Montreal World Film Festival and also the award from Fipresci for Best First Film.
