Description
Deidre Backs is an independent producer & filmmaker. She produced Erica Tremblay's debut feature, Fancy Dance, starring Lily Gladstone which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival & went on to play at SXSW, Mill Valley, Outfest, BFI London, & will be released by Apple in 2024. Backs was the recipient of the 2021 Mark Silverman honor as a Sundance Institute Creative Producing Lab fellow & was a 2022 Women at Sundance/Adobe fellow. For many years, she worked alongside producer Daniel Lupi.
