Description
Dangmai Films (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was co-founded by director Bi Gan and his producer Shan Zuolong in July 2016. They two have been working together from Kaili Blues. Invested by one of China’s biggest studios Huace Group, Dangmai Films aims at producing high quality art-house films with international co-production tempers. Long Day's Journey Into Night will be its first production.
Objective
Long Day's Journey Into Night follows a man returns to his hometown and finds traces of a mysterious woman who he spent a secretive summer with twelve years ago. The woman writes a movie star's name on a cigarette pack but no one really knows her real message. He thinks of those stars' whispers in many bright nights.
