Dr. Arbenz is immersing himself in this epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. Jacobo Arbenz and his wife Maria Vilanova saw their love tested by a Coup orchestrated by the C.I.A. The Devil’s Chessboard described it as the story of “a wealthy, young, attractive (couple) dedicated to uplifting their impoverish country. They were the Kennedy’s of Guatemala” The Arbenz saga is layered with spy craft, international politics, action, greed, loyalty, betrayal & love.
