- Sinopsis
- In 1975 Adelaide, South Australia a white mayor of a small country town finds out his daughter Penny is pregnant to a local Aboriginal man, the last of the Lakari people; he orders his brutal death and claims the deed to his land.
  His daughter flees the town disowning her father for his actions. The distraught mayor sees nothing to live for and ends his life alone in a house of forgotten memories, the deed placed splatted with blood on his desk.
  William finds his friend and the deed. With only one loose end to deal with, William is about to become the lawful owner of Waterfall Valley and all of it’s financial potential.
  Eight months later Penny ventures back to the sleepy town to visit resting place of her child’s father. By chance William sees her and panics. He follows her to the burnt down shack and from the shadows of the willow tree fires just one shot, tying up that one loose end and taking possession of the property.
  He leaves her lifeless body on the ground; unbeknown to him the child has survived and is protected by the shadows of the Lakari people.
  34 years later a group of five young friends on a hiking trip stay at the retreat built by William. Strange things start to happen after they discover a lost waterfall in the center of a hidden valley. Shadows hover in the background and anger starts to erupt within the boundaries of Waterfall Valley.
  Nothing is as it seems and the friends all begin to experience different sightings and happenings as it is slowly revealed what this place once was. In a desperate attempt to run, all of the friends are kept in the dark until the very last second. Outsmarting the shadows is their only hope.
