    • Synopsis
    • Saint Barth is one of the richest, most well publicized islands in the Caribbean. This film presents an alternate view that's practically invisible to outsiders: a glimpse at the local spirit and people who've made this island dream livable and meaningful - for them and anyone who's listening.

Exposing island music history from 1963 to present day, we've captured images of island musicians from all walks of life. From the island's President to sailors, construction workers and a large group of young, loud, Carnival drummers. Mountainous landscapes, white sandy beaches and seas of turquoise blue, spring to life on the screen.

Interviews conducted with Island as well as French, American and Canadian musicians, make for a lively international exchange. Seated in a lush tropical garden, retired sailor Maurice (89) and his friend Soley, a young professional musician, sing the opening song together.

On the opposite side of the island, out in an isolated parking lot at 3am we meet up with Sami, a young rapper and head for an Underground rap session.

Music, musicians, their point of view and their island.
