    • Synopsis
    • THE YOUNG ROMANTICS is a gothic romance inspired by the love triangle of Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley and her stepsister Claire Clairmont, together with the coterie of that world including the tantalisingly arrogant but brilliant, Lord Byron.

Mary, the creator of one of the world’s most enduring pieces of literature, Frankenstein, is at the center of a perfect storm of radical thought and ideas in the lakes of Geneva in 1816. She shares her bed with Shelley who seemingly has desires on her stepsister Claire, who in turn has desires on the illusive but brilliant Lord Byron. An intricate web is formed along which their art and their lives would be strung, with devastating consequences for all of them.
