At the party, Dejare's brother In law tells him about a part-time gig at a mainland bar called The BassMent. Dejare auditions and becomes the resident saxophonist at the bar. This is where he meets Anjola (Rita Dominic) the sultry lead vocalist of the resident band “La Femme Anjola” and wife of the bar owner Odera, a shady character involved in all sorts of shady money laundering deals.

Being engaged doesn’t stop Dejare from falling under the spell of Anjola. When Thabisa travels out of town on business, Dejare finds himself embarking on an illicit affair with Anjola. Thabisa soon discovers that he is cheating and calls off their engagement.

Dejare has fallen for Anjola and secures a recording deal for them. Anjola is afraid that Odera might kill her if he finds out about their affair so she begs him to help her kill Odera. Dejare is shocked and will hear nothing of it. He simply cannot commit murder!

Odera is murdered. When police detective start their investigation, Dejare finds that the finger of suspicion points to them. With Detective Danladi after them, Dejare embarks on a perilous journey to prove their innocence. What he finds will test his sense of courage and morals.
