    • Synopsis
    • In the middle of a night, while walking home, Omar and Juan Torres saw a bulldozer trespassing on their land. The next day only tracks and fallen trees could be seen at the place. After some research the Torres Brothers found out that a trangenic soy company is expanding illegaly on their territory during the nights.
Their inmediate claims were ignored by the authorities, forcing them to take justice on their hands. For the next weeks Omar and Juan Torres will do armed night watches teaming up with the rest of the villagers. Their plan is to stop the bulldozer night operations on their border.
During these night watches the Torres Broders will tell us the story of San Felix, their birthplace. San Felix is an old town founded by a marriage of freed African slaves in the 1800´s in Argentina. The story tells that the slaves were given these lands as a gift from their former owners when they married and freed. San Felix is the only town in the whole country which recognizes itself as african descendant. Argentina has been known as the whitest country in latin america.
Meanwhile, Fidel the cousin and teacher of the town´s school is preparing a batallion of students armed with slingshots to try his new “amaranto bomb” plan against the soy company. Fidel has heard that the precolombian cereal called amaranto will eat out a whole plantation of transgenic soy. An amaranto bomb is made of a ball of clay with amaranto seeds inside. If thrown in the soil where transgenic soy grows, this magical plant will eat the soy.
