    • Synopsis
    • Con man and lifelong drifter Myron Elway chases his dream of a normal life along with the ghost of his overbearing father who bore him into a childhood of grifting, and forever blurred for him the lines between unconditional love and emotional blackmail. We follow Myron as a boy, learning the tricks of the trade and finding his way through the uncertain and often violent world that ultimately takes his father’s life, leaving Myron a social pariah unaware at first of the lasting mark of a criminal mentality. Along the bumpy road he meets Chaucey, his companion in crime. She becomes an emotional replacement for his not so dear dead father. Their relationship is fierce and unstable and forever at the mercy of a life lived on the edge. Opportunity knocks for Myron when a high stakes poker game is arranged giving him the chance to silence his father’s ghost, and finally step away from the only world he has ever known. However, the con’s man game is always at the mercy of fate and Myron finds himself face to face with the present danger of his greatest con, and his spotted past lurking just around the corner. The Shot is a story of retribution, the shot is Myron’s last chance to walk away clean.
