Burned out by a whirlwind career and a failed relationship, world-famous concert violinist, Caroline Waverly, arrives in Innocence, Missouri looking for a little peace and quiet in the house she inherited from her Grandmother. Unfortunately, the town doesn’t live up to its name. Tensions and accusations grow daily as two mutilated corpses of beautiful women from the area are discovered. Innocence does offer Caroline one distraction, though: the handsome and charming Tucker Longstreet. Tucker is known for keeping his romances short and shallow, but one look at Caroline and Tucker realizes that she is unlike any other woman he’s ever met. The cool and reserved Caroline feels an unexpected thrill at his ardent advances, but when she discovers a third murder in the murky waters behind her home, her summer liaison threatens to become as tangled as everything else in her life: Tucker is the leading suspect in the killings.
