    • Synopsis
    • Tells a love story in the heart of a religious sect. Inspired by the famous Children of God sect, tells the story of two lives intertwined and marked by a religious sect. «Those who enter want to leave. And those who have never come, only dream of coming, «says the song by the Valencian group Video, which, in addition to giving the film its title, becomes a leitmotif for ‘Planet 5000’.

      Sergio (Itzan Escamilla) has met a peculiar group of young people who use their love of sports to spread the word of God. It does not take him long to see in them the solution to escape from a reality that does not satisfy him.

      In that commune lives Iris (Kimberley Tell), a «prostitute of Jesus» born and raised under the dogmas of her group. Inspired by a catchy ’80s song titled “Planet 5000” that she identifies with, Iris escapes alongside Mario (Críspulo Cabezas) looking for a freedom that soon becomes a mirage. As the refrain says: «the those who enter want to leave, and those who have never come dream only of coming. » Two realities, two seemingly opposite planets, drawing our characters on an inevitable collision course.
