    • Synopsis
    • Through an intimate look at four women’s day to day life, “Nannies” tells the story of women whose children are being raised by relatives in distant towns, while the women are away caring for somebody else’s child.

Going back and forth from city life and rural scenarios, this documentary goes deep into the characters‘ work lives and the lives they leave behind.

In a love chain, where mother
      figures are substituted and duplicated,
bonds grow strong between kids and their nannies, and between the nannies’ children
and the grandmothers or aunts that care for them.
We are left with the question of who the real mothers are but, does it even matter?
