In 1976 during his trip to Paris the Russian gouvernement confiscated his passport for being progressive and a Jew. He became `famous painter in Europe, but only 30 years later he was able to come back to Russia - his Motherland N 1.

    • This film is about a famous artist, the founder of non-conformism – Oscar Rabin .
      In 1976 when he was in Paris with his wife (a well-known artist Valentina Kropivnitskaya) his Russian passport was confiscated for being progressive and a Jew. They have been living in France since then and became famous in Europe. The last work by Rabinе was sold at Sotheby's.
      But only now, when the painter is 79, his passport was returned and he came back to Moscow, to his "Motherland N 1".
