LEGACY: The Butch O’Hare Story tells the history of one man’s misguided journey to the top of the mafia through the eyes of his son, the war hero who redeemed their family name.

In our “Midway-meets-Untouchables” styled film, Butch O’Hare’s journey through a gangster-littered childhood created by his father’s relationship with Al Capone is bookended by his Medal of Honor flight to fame against a formidable foe in the Pacific Island Campaign of World War II.
SYNOPSIS: Book-ended by his flight to fame as the first Naval Aviator to earn the Congressional Medal of Honor for air-to-air combat, “Legacy: The Butch O’Hare Story” takes the audience on one man’s journey to redeem his last name. Marred by the infamous legacy of his father, Al Capone’s mob attorney, Butch must face the past to take on a present and ominous enemy in the early Pacific Islands Campaign of World War II.

Newly married and deep into war, Butch’s mind drifts to a childhood entangled with bootlegging gangsters and his father’s greed that nearly kept him from ever getting into a war plane, before putting his life on the line to engage a formidable foe. His fight through combat answers his journey’s call to redeem his family name as his wife places the Congressional Medal of Honor around his neck, removing the noose placed there by his father.
