    • Synopsis
    • The Director's Cut of the classic fantasy-adventure, based upon the novel "Last Mountain". Starring Soon-Tek Oh (Mulan, Beverly Hills Ninja, Missing in Action 2) and Deanne Bray (Sue Thomas FBI).
A dying UNICORN is “seen” by KARUS, a homeless man with a forgotten past that his friends say “is too terrible to remember.” Karus accepts the charity of an old Latina and her niece, ANNUNCIATA, as he searches the city for what may only be a dream of his imagination.
Annunciata has her own problems: the ghetto-born teenager is no match for the U.S. Homeland Security Immigration officer known as 'THE DREAMBREAKER': she is legal, but cannot produce immediate proof. The Dreambreaker wants to make a media example of Annunciata and her LOW RIDER cousins – he plans to arrest the girl and ship her down to Mexico.
Karus comes in the middle of the night announcing that Annunciata is a 'Lady Fair' – he read about “lady fairs and unicorns' somewhere – and Annunciata steals away with Karus one step ahead of the Border Patrol’s arresting officers.
Within hours it is a 3-way search: Karus and Annunciata look for the Unicorn, the Low Riders search for the missing girl – and the Dreambreaker sets up a police dragnet after them all.
The fugitives elude capture, crossing the mountains above Los Angeles to the “last” mountain, where Karus believes that the Unicorn is fated to die – but that mountain is where the Dreambreaker waits. He cannot see the Unicorn.
The conclusion, a crash of events and off-road car battles, creates an experience of unexpected emotions and breath-catching intensity as Karus, Annunciata and the Dreambreaker meet the Unicorn on the Last Mountain.
