    • Synopsis
    • KULT FILM was made during a concert tour. It is not only a story of an almost 40-year old band which is a unique phenomenon, as it always gathers huge crowds at the longest concerts in Poland and is considered both the most outstanding and popular rock band in the history of this genre in Poland. Above all, it is a documentary about people who were followed during tours, concerts and private meetings from 2013 to 2018.
It is not a classic music documentary. More importantly, it is a film about freedom, real man bonding and fulfilling our youthful dreams but also about human relationships as well as the difficulties we face and the struggle with them. It is also a tale about widely understood fatherhood and family, without which it is impossible to function.
Kazik Staszewski, the founder and leader of Kult is definitely one of the most interesting personalities in the Polish music scene of the last 35 years. To his numerous fans, he is also a huge authority. His own lyrics as well as the texts written by his father, Stanisław Staszewski, which Kazik sings, have always been great commentaries on the reality around him. This year, Staszewski is turning 56. The way that he looks at the world is different than ten, twenty or thirty years ago, but it remains interesting and unique. It is also an accurate commentary for the present time. And though it is right to say that the life of a musician happens on stage or in a rehearsal room, the film shows how important family, faith, the power of friendship, honour and honesty are for Staszewski and the other members of Kult.
