    • Synopsis
    • On the Horizon of dusk of adolescence, in a small roadside town, Neto and his friends rehearse their first steps towards adulthood. Fears and dreams, talents and limitations, sex, loneliness and friendship, everything oscillates between the radiance brought by their achievements and the shadow brought by their frustration.

Neto (18) has recently graduated from high school and is preparing to take his next step towards adulthood. Unsure about the way to follow, he continues his work at a gas station, enjoys moments of idleness, rehearses with his rock band, flirts with his friend Ana, and observes the paths his friends are starting to tread.

Gigante (18) heads for university, located in a large city nearby and leaves Neto's band, where he plays the drums. Betão (35), by contrast, settles down in the city, more specifically at his mother's house (it is this family base that allows him to live on scarce freelance gigs as a musician and also to devote time to his hobby as a bass player in Neto's band). Mosca (19), uses his booming voice to sing in Neto's band, and to make fun of himself: regarding his ineptitude with women and his grandiose dreams. Polenta (17), on the other hand, bets high on his skills: even if he can only extract simple chords on his guitar (the rhythm guitar in Neto's band), he extrapolates in his poses on stage during the performances, and in life. Craca (17) was Neto's classmate and is currently his work colleague at the convenience store. Despite this proximity, some differences separate them: at school, Craca failed in the final year and, at work, he continues on the post of shelf stocker, whereas Neto was promoted to the post of shop assistant. Fú (26) also does not advance in his studies or work, but does so by choice: he does not aim to get anywhere - what he wants is to enjoy himself to the full along the walk of life. Ana (18) came from the capital city and has lived in Neto's city for three years, but does not actually live there - she inhabits the spectacular world she knows by means of music videos and rock magazines. She feels sexually attracted to Neto, but the fact that he is flesh and blood, and not image and sound, prevents the relationship from progressing. And Neto, through the conviviality and the observation of his friends, calculates and prepares his next leap. But where to?
