    • Set during and after World War II, HANA’S SUITCASE follows the journey of three captivating characters whose lives are interwoven into a powerful and uplifting tale of great resilience.

During the war, 11-year-old Hana is separated from her family and sent to the Theresienstadt Ghetto, where she keeps her hopes and dreams alive thanks to a clandestine choir of young inmates.

Decades later in the year 2000 in Tokyo, Fumiko, a passionate educator who risks her career to put together an exhibit about the Holocaust, comes across a little girl’s suitcase from the Second World War which inspires her to travel halfway around the world in hopes to uncover a story that could save her project.

George, a rich entrepreneur who has suppressed and hidden his traumatizing past as an Auschwitz survivor, must confront his personal history when he receives a letter from Fumiko asking for more information about his sister, Hana.

HANA’S SUITCASE is both heart-wrenching and deeply inspiring. Always moving forward at a fast and entertaining pace, this remarkable true story is a testament to the power of human connection beyond time, religion, age, and geography. Through three profoundly intimate and captivating storylines, the film will take audiences on a compassionate journey of loss, discovery, and hope.
