- Synopsis
- Giovanna is a teenager who has killed her school mate and best friend out of a lit of jealousy. The young girl is judged of unsound mind and is sent to a psychiatric hospital at Reggio Emilia. During a period of almost complete isolation, the only person who takes care of her is her father. Father and daughter have established a very peculiar relationship where there has never been any space for the mother Delia. After the tragedy, with the heart full of well-concealed despair, Delia decides to reject her own family and refuses to see Giovanna never again. A night, after fifteen years, in a dark and smoky movie theatre Delia catches her daughter’ s eyes and she had no hesitations to try to start a new life all together.
