    • Synopsis
    • Over a decade ago, Lea Black began a charity for Baypoint Schools, a rehabilitation center for troubled teens. With her famous attorney husband, Roy Black, the couple vowed to never have to defend any of the Baypoint students when they became adults. And the 99% success rate hasn’t come easy!
Though the staff at Baypoint is certainly credited for saving these teens, it takes money, a lot of it. In order to keep the school functioning at a rate that will offer teenage boys opportunities instead of jail, the tools they need to be successful in life and avoid a system that will in many cases create career criminals instead of career opportunities, fundraising is needed to offer these boys a future of dreams otherwise unimaginable.
To raise money for these kids - you need a fundraiser. And that’s when the chaos begins. With a cast of entertaining characters and socially conscious celebrities that leave you wanting more, take a ride with Lea Black, but hang on for dear life as she plunges through crisis after crisis, unexpected turns, wonderful surprises, and uplifting moments that remind us all what life’s all about.
As we are engaged by the intense emotions of three troubled boys as they go through the program, we follow Lea as she recruits volunteers into a high society whirlwind that must produce much needed funds and accomplish it while getting everything donated without much time to spare. But for the recruits, it’s often hard to volunteer when there are so many lavish parties and celebrities to enjoy!
Constant visits by Murphy’s law are the norm in these events. With celebrities performing to loud crowds of Miami’s night life and philanthropy scene, to inebriated performers cursing at a shocked audience of the elite, it is a runaway train ride that has surely jumped off the tracks to become, “The Fundraiser.”
