The 8K experimental shooting at Poznan rally track was made for testing workflow with a stabilization equipment together with 8K camera. To realize the shooting scenario, three main components were required: a specialised car adapted for carrying and controlling film cameras; special gimbal with specialised spring arm for camera stabilization; 8K camera with long zoom lens and remote control. The system was operated by 3 people: a cameraman who operated the gimbal as a remote head (pan, tilt, roll) and also lens zoom; a focus puller who constantly monitored the image sharpness; and a camera assistant who took care of all other camera functions and record triggering. Despite of difficult conditions, after two days of shooting all the equipment survived and did an excellent job. Many nice scenes were recorded and a lot of parameters were tested. The weather conditions were perfect and the quality of recordings from Sony F65 8K camera allows to produce not only SDR but also excellent looking HDR content.
