    • Caracas, the city with more McDonalds per capita in Latin America, is the capital of a country where malnutrition is overcome, but malnutrition has entered the front door. Thus, in the country of misses, 7 out of 10 Venezuelans have overweight and dethrone Mexico as the fattest country of Latin America, in only 5 years.

This documentary film is a reflection of the phenomenon of malnutrition and effects that globalization has on food. Industrialization has changed the flavor of foods, nutrients, food products. This is to say, the food is not food, it is a commodity to be sold to the highest bidder. The narrative form of the documentary will be a game of Chinese boxes: what begins as a personal problem reveals itself as a global problem.

Caracas Candybar has the structure of a personal journal. It tells the story of one who makes a documentary film about obesity in Venezuela and following this, it discovers its own internal contradictions, like her anxieties in relation to your body. From there you enter into a dialogue with 5 females they talk about their dietary distortions and their relationship with food.

The Final round nut be understood that the solution to this problem of overweight returning to our roots. We feed the mother earth and not multinationals.
