    • Synopsis
    • Anthony has a successful life as a writer and teacher, with a perfect best friend George, and a beautiful but somewhat suffocating new girlfriend Rachel. But his wonderful life is suddenly turned upside down after an accident.

When he awakens from a coma, Chris realizes that he has lost his eyesight, and his girlfriend, as Rachel has moved on. George admits that Rachel has consoled herself in his arms and now she’s pregnant, sending Chris into a downward spiral. He neglects himself, and even gives up on his writing career. As a result, Chris becomes the easy prey of Jimmy, the grocery delivery guy who takes the opportunity to steal from him.

Sherilyn, a guide dog trainer, finds a young Labrador-Husky cross dog, Vrook. After receiving a concerned call from George, Sherilyn drops by Anthony’s apartment to offer a guide dog to him. After initial hostility and reluctance, Sherilyn begins to convince Anthony that Vrook is a more useful companion than Alexa or Siri. And with time and help from Sherilyn, Vrook melts Anthony’s cold exterior and helps him learn how to appreciate life again. As fierce and fiery as Anthony, Sherilyn’s determination pushes him to take on new challenges, including braille classes so he can read and write again, putting him on the road to recovery. At the same time, Vrook becomes the eyes of Anthony and his defender against Jimmy, as well as guiding him through all kinds of near misses in the city park. But the biggest surprise is still to come, when Anthony takes Sherilyn and Vrook to dinner, as a thanks for all they’ve done for him. Vrook overhears Sherilyn talking about mushing commands, sending him into a full-speed dash around the packed dining room!

Discovering Vrook’s dog sledding skills, Anthony and Sherilyn celebrate over drinks and conceive a wild plan to enter a dog sled race, fueled by the cynical return of Rachel who reappears with George and tries to get her claws back into Anthony! Wasting no time, they start dog-sled training. And little by little, Anthony manages to control the dogs, with Vrook’s leadership and Sherilyn’s commands. The resulting citywide training session is televised, attracting Rachel who continues to attempt her seduction of Anthony back to her.

Culminating in far north, Anthony and Vrook set off on their adventure through the wilderness. It’s here that Anthony rediscovers his joy for life and Vrook proves that - if he looks like a Labrador - he’s a Husky at heart, overcoming expectations and beating the odds, even surviving a bear attack and being cut off from others when their radio is broken.
Vrook gets the chance to reconnect with his former owner. This leads to a warm welcome for the weary racers, as Sherilyn cheer on Anthony and Vrook when they cross the finish line. Sherilyn embraces Anthony, sealing their love with a kiss.
