    • Synopsis
    • "Theater is nervousness. A monstruous tension of nerves. The previous instants, the energy overflowing the bodies, the greetings, the rituals. It gets you out, like dying or killing, I think…The Monster Party.
When I presented Inferno, play about the texts of Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri and Divine Mimesis by Pier Paolo Passolini, Marcos proposed me then to make a documentary record following me. I didn't take it seriously: with the play around (sound and audiovisual teams, musicians, lighting technicians, and more than thirty actors in the middle of the Riachuelo), I didn't think of me being the center, I, that simply want to be in a invisible conection with those who take the play ahead. Let it happen without me. And yet, here it is: I see the play "from the other side". There's something about this experiences to continue unraveling, at least to me, it makes me think about the ways of creating plays". Beatriz Catani, argentine playwright and theatre director.
Beatriz Inferno is a ghostly journey through the mind and feelings of a theater director (Beatriz Catani) during a play of complex staging. The risk and the inability of control, with the ephemeral nature of the theatrical, and the inevitability of death that interrupted love, are ideas of a Dante's soundscape where the voice intimacy of Beatriz overfly in a melancholic itinerary.
