    • Synopsis
    • 2025. The Shuttle Program has been privatized and the shuttle Atlantis relegated to glorified taxi between space stations. Its crew is on a routine mission. They think they are conducting experiments; what they don’t realize is that they are the experiment.
The Shuttle Atlantis is hit by bursts of light that shut down its instrumentation leaving it adrift in space with Rookie astronaut Travis Black at the command. The crew members are transported to a planet that looks like Earth but isn’t. They find themselves in the middle of a barren, desert wasteland where they begin dying in bizarre ways.
The rookie astronaut comes to realize that they have been chosen to compete in some sort of galactic chess game with a superior intelligence - where losing means death.
