- 1. EXTENDED SYNOPSIS (Treatment)
  - BEGINNING (exposition, starting point)
  Mountains, many years ago.
  Alfred, a boy of 14 years old, a young naturalist. A curious boy, dreaming to become a famous scientist.
  Criminals rob a truck, transporting brilliants. They hide precious stones in a mountainous cave. A young naturalist Alfred notices them, criminals, having seen a boy, try to catch him up. Alfred falls down from the mountain and becomes paralyzed. When he tells his parents what he has seen, nobody believes him. He swears an oath that he will prove it in spite of anything.
  - THE END OF THE FIRST / BEGINNING OF THE SECOND SCENE
  A modern city, our times.
  Albert, 20 years old, a “wonk” student, a fan of history and archeology. He is driven by the searching process itself and not by its results. Alfred’s nephew.
  Albert, his sestra Elvira and their friends – two brothers Alex and Kirk – find a vase near a forsaken house with images of 12 Apostles. They cheerfully return to the city with their finding.
  Brothers, Alex and Kirk, 21 and 22 years old, sportsmen, are always with Albert and Elvira, paying court to her. Their goal is to earn money and glory as enthusiasts, searching for buried treasure.
  Elvira, Albert’s cousin, 21 years old, a beautiful young girl, clever, dreams to become a famous scientist.
  Mountains, our times.
  Upon expiry of many years old Alfred applies to his nephew Albert, a fan of riddles, secrets and mystics. Albert agrees to leave searching for brilliants.
  Albert invites his friends for a party in the mountains. He, his friends, fellow students arrive to the mountains to celebrate his birthday. Everybody prepares for a party, they start celebration.
  Albert is glad, everything goes according to a plan, the only annoying misunderstanding took place on the road, when his fellow student killed a white barn-owl. After that a bus driver refused to take them to the final point of destination calling this place a devil place. Albert tries to get rid of bad signs; soon they will have brilliants and return home.
  The day before the last gang member, the youngest at that time and now the old prisoner Serge absconds from prison. He abscond from prison together with his jail mates, there were four of them. Serge has a goal – to find brilliants, to leave the country, to live on the Tahiti islands.
  - BASIC EVENTS OF THE SECOND SCENE
  From memory Serge finds a place where he dug brilliants, but he sees half a score of students, who are drunken, dancing. They decide to attack them later when students reach their drinking norm.
  In several hours when they drink almost everything, Alex invites Elvira to go for a walk in caves. They kiss in the remote part of the cave. Elya touches a lever by chance, which opens a hidden door in the cave. Elya cuddles up to Alex. Alex looks inside to find out what is there.
  Four armed prisoners rush into the cave, they demand that all people come together and step aside from the entrance.
  A dead body in a military form falls on Elya, she starts to cry heart-rending and at that moment a scuffle begins between students and prisoners (zeks). One of students tries to pull out a pistol from a prisoner.
  Shots resounded, causing a rock-fall, one of zeks perishes at once. The entrance was blocked, students and zeks altogether run inside trying to escape a rock-fall.
  - THE END OF THE SECOND / BEGINNING OF THE THIRD SCENE (culmination)
  Students and zeks appear together, running away, they are separated into 3 groups. Albert understands that everything that was happened was happened exclusively by his fault. And he must take all of them out of theses caves. He finds a way out for everybody how to escape, but it is necessary for them to find each other in dark caves.
  But on the way psychotics attack them, they did not eat for many years something fresh. Everybody forgets about brilliants.
  Later they will find out that they got into the experimental psycho clinic, where especially dangerous maniacs were kept. Different tests and experiments were made on them. In the course of time patients changed, becoming more dangerous for the personnel. The personnel perished many years ago.
  - THE END
  Now former patients become masters of the situation. Frightened students and zeks do not understand anything; they perish one after another in the total darkness due to attacks of inapprehensible creatures.
  Students and zeks now together try to get out of the underground hell. But only the happiest ones managed to get out, finding a way out and… brilliants.
  2. CHARACTISTICS OF CHARACTERS
  Principal characters:
  Albert, a” wonk” student of physical-mathematical faculty, also a fan of history and archeology, mystic stories and secrets. He is driven by the searching process itself and not by its results. Alfred’s nephew.
  Brothers Alex and Kirk, two joyful brothers, sportsmen, who are always with Albert and Elvira, paying court to her. Their goal is to earn money and glory as enthusiasts, searching for buried treasure.
  Elvira, Albert’s cousin, a beautiful girl, clever, dreams to become a famous scientist.
  Supporting characters:
  Alfred, Albert’s uncle, a scientist, who devoted his life to the science. An adventurer by nature.
  Enver, a competitor of brothers Alex and Kirk, an informal leader in a group where they all study.

  Thank God, I am already missing a hot bath and a cup of coffee.
  Albert
  Soon we shall be at home. Now, it is your move, brothers Lyumier.
  Albert looks at Kirk and Alex.
  Albert
  (continues)
  Be careful, take out manuscripts.

  Let them alone!
