On Sunday July 4th, 1976, three priests and two seminarists belonging to the pallottine congregation were brutally murderer at Saint Patrick`s church in Buenos Aires. The Argentinean dictatorial authorities immediately supported the hypothesis of a terrorist attack. But many evidences revealed the involvement of a paramilitary group linked to the de facto government. At that time the Church refused to talk about the murders and the judicial investigation covered up the incriminating evidence of the massacre that pointed the government as responsible of the crime. In a country where the ecclesiastic hierarchy had backed up the military coup, such attack to the heart of the Church seemed to have no explanation. What were the motives of the murder?
