Description

Amariam Productions was established in 2004 in South Africa to develop and produce independent documentary and fiction feature films. In 2009 we produced our first documentary for television (SABC) as well as completing our first full length feature film in the same year titled “Adera”, which has enjoyed a string of successes, including selection at 16 international film festivals, winning 1 award. In 2010 we produced the documentary “Unhinged: Surviving Jo’burg” directed by Adrian Loveland, which was licensed by Fox for TopTV and was a best seller on DVD in South Africa. Currently Amariam Pictures is busy with the sequel to this popular documentary titled “Cape Town Unhinged”, which received development funding from the National Film and Video Foundation, as well as wrapping up production on a South African horror film set in the township of Orange Farm and based on the mythological “Tokoloshe” creature.
