- The film is the live story of Helga (Age: 94) and Elisabeth (Age: 88), Jewish sisters from Vienna. They survived as children the Theresienstadt concentration camp during the period of the cruel Nazi dictatorship. In the age of nine and six years they were deported by the SS. The mother, a born Christian, went willingly with them behind walls. The father was taken to Auschwitz concentration camp. The film covers the time from 1938, after the connection of Austria to Germany, the Third Reich, until today and shows besides the darkest times, how they later managed to create successful new lives. International artists from Film, Music, Theatre, Poetry, Fine Art, Animation Art and Dance transform parts of the narration of the touching story into contemporary art to open up an additional view on the historical Events.
