    • Synopsis
    • Mitch Laffer is an affluent surgeon who has worked hard for decades to build the most successful cosmetic surgery practice in Beverly Hills. He has a beautiful wife whom he pampers and loves deeply. Happy to give back to the community, Mitch spends his free time at the hospital cheering up sick children, dressed as his playful alter-ego "Plucko The Clown.” If he didn’t become a doctor, Mitch may have followed his dream to join the circus. Whether he’s performing plastic surgery or clown tricks, to Mitch it’s the same: He brings a person’s beauty to the surface and creates happiness for them.

But sometimes all it takes is one bad morning for someone to wake up from a dream and step into a nightmare. After a series of heart-crushing revelations about the people he trusted and loved, something changes in Mitch. The optimist within him realizes that he has been played a fool. He has not been living in a world of beauty, but a world of deception. Something dark grows within him. It fractures his optimistic outlook, and unleashes a side of him that he’s unable to control.

As rage drives Mitch to the brink of committing a brutal act, his playful alter-ego Plucko The Clown appears in a mirror and tries to talk Mitch out of his grisly plans. Mitch’s sanity is unravelling. Pluck attempts to intervene however he can - the only way clowns know how to, through pranks and practical jokes - but, Mitch is set on his revenge. Those who have wronged him will suffer gruesome, ghastly lessons.

The moment after Mitch commits his first crime of passion, he realizes he’s gone too far. But it’s too late. There will be no return to normalcy. The cops will be after him. His hard-earned life of comfort is over. But, it’s not his fault. Everyone in his world has betrayed him, including his patients. They will all pay. …unless Plucko can save them.

Mitch’s patients arrive for their plastic surgery procedures. After they are strapped to their chairs and tables, they discover that Mitch no longer wants to make them beautiful. He tells them he intends to unveil the hideous truth underneath and will use his surgical abilities to bring their actual ugly selves to light.

Through it all - Plucko is there, in mirrors, in reflections, in the flesh. Always taunting Mitch. Always trying to talk sense into him. Always using his clown skills and spectacle to halt Mitch’s savage drive. But Mitch falls deeper and deeper into his psychotic world, which is filled not with beauty nor joy, but with despair and ugliness.

As the police close in, Mitch unveils his grande finale to his captives. Plucko attempts to intervene, but when he sees the selfish, ugly motivation of Mitch’s “victims” …the clown joins forces with the doctor to perform a “show” so horrifying that the boundary between the real world and insanity is blurred into a distorted reflection of all Mitch once held dear.
