- Synopsis
- Charlie fell from grace after starring in the film The Ways of Wine (El camino del vino). The character he played, a “sommelier that has lost his sense of taste,” become stuck to his image and brought his career to ruin. His wife, Pandora, gets him a way back into the wine tasting world working for some important European bodegas, but he must work behind the scenes as a “ghost taster” for a young and ambitious sommelier, Antonio Poncelis.
  The plan goes into action. Thanks to Charlie’s palate Antonio quickly becomes one of the most promising young sommeliers in the world of wine. The professional couple of Antonio and Pandora are a hit in the big leagues, and they are called to participate in The Great Wine Duel, a kind of world cup of wine tasters. But still Charlie feels frustrated and he doesn’t want to participate. After a fight with his wife, he goes to tour the small towns of Europe. On his way, he realizes that his sense of taste has become sharper than ever. and is so incredible that it seems to verge on the fantastic. After meeting with important personalities in the field of wine of the Old World, he devises a plan to win back his wife and his lost fame. He signs up for The Great Duel under the pseudonym “The Mysterious Count” and he starts training to win.  In a tasting competition among the greatest sommeliers in the world, Charlie beats everyone, doing blind and simultaneous tasting from 200 bottles of wine. In the end, Charlie and Pandora meet again in the final round of the duel. Charlie reveals
  his true identity before the public. The tasting has been a success. Charlie is back!
