- Synopsis
- Francesca, a young and wealthy scion of a Turin family at the head of a winemaking empire, following a dramatic nervous breakdown caused by an unsustainable workload and personal responsibilities, joins Mylight, a large bioenergetic recovery community in the Piedmontese countryside, where she begins a sabbatical according to the principles of chromotherapy, quantum physics and new generation biohacking. As often happens high expectations and lack of real affection of the family, is the hidden reason behind her psycho-physical disorder. A need for attention for her inner thoughts finds relief in the set warm hospitality. Having moved from Italy to the community’s foreign city headquarters and a period spent in a special international bioenergetics campus of the Sect, Francesca befriends Mark Tyler, the founder of the community; a brilliant bioenergetics writer whose books set off the mushrooming of hundreds of adherent communities around the world, and which the city based community has decided to confederate to revolutionise the world. A strong mutual esteem arises between the "founder by chance" and its most brilliant disciple, leading to clandestine love. In a short time, thanks to her skills, total compliance to the community rules and a totally regenerated psycho-physical condition, Francesca manages to carve out a prestigious role within Mylight and enter the development team of the App through which the organisation aims to increase its number of followers and expand worldwide. Despite her total trust in the community’s management committee and its founder, Francesca identifies some critical issues related to the application’s functions, deeming them, in some cases, dangerous to the users’ health. However, her words are met by wall of indifference and she soon finds herself on the sidelines of the project and isolated.
  Returning to Italy to assist her dying grandfather, Francesca dedicates all her energy to working in the family business and seems to have left her Mylight experience behind her. The results are not long in coming and Francesca, who has by now learned to manage pressure and her physical and mental energy, closes an important agreement with a foreign country, making exports soar, replenishing the company's coffers.
  On the eve of the worldwide launch of the Mylight App, Mark Tyler, no longer certain of the community’s correct behaviour begins to realise their new expansionist aims, arrives in Italy with the purpose of mending his relationship with Francesca. The girl reassures him that she never intended to leave the community but that, having finally become the head of the family company, has decided to cede a part of it to Mylight Inc. In exchange she will be appointed head of the large Italian community and together they will be able to lead the world towards an epochal revolution [...]
