    • Synopsis
    • When Nick, 33 years old, is discharged from prison, he has a clear plan. Work out hard, drink hard, and become hard towards the world. He enters a world of sleeplessness, with memories of his wretched childhood and unhappy love haunting him day and night. Until one day, he meets an old long-forgotten friend...
      Nick's brother, 30, is a junkie and father to a son, Martin. Everyday he struggles on two fronts: to get his fix and at the same time to provide Martin with the decent life he did not get himself. Without his drugs, it's impossible for him to cope - and then out of the blue he inherits a lots of money...
      In the dark parts of Copenhagen, living separate lives and in different ways, the two brothers are caught in an impossible fight for a better life. They seek each other, and though their destinies almost cross several times, the brothers will not meet until they are both sent to prison - and then is just might be all too late...
      Nick gets a final opportunity to do the right thing. The question is: will he seize it?
