    • Synopsis
    • Manolo is a teenager who dreams of becoming a filmmaker someday, but being Peruvian he is also keenly aware of the difficulty of becoming one. It is the summer of 1968 and Manolo and his friends Guille and Bobby (a music freak and a Casanova wannabe, respectively) spend their last summer before college going to the beach, listening to rock music and complaining about never having gone to a rock concert in their lives. However, Manolo’s life changes with the arrival of a new girl to the neighbourhood: Emma, a young hippie that will change the boy’s routine. They become friends rapidly, as Manolo is attracted to Emma and desperate to get her attention. This leads him to make a series of unfortunate decisions, such as stealing his dad's car in order to go to the concert of their favourite band just to impress her.
      During the concert Emma, to spike Manolo for not realizing that she likes him too, ends up kissing an ex boyfriend that she bumps into. Manolo’s night gets worse when someone steals his dad’s car. Finally he has a weird conversation with a stranger he meets in the street, who encourages him to go back to the concert to face his fears and look for Emma. There, he has the difficult task of telling the way he feels to the first love of his life.
