    • Synopsis
    • GIORGI, a Georgian emigrant and would-be actor has been muddling through life for years and is still unsuccessful.
He is living in an old hut on the edge of Stuttgart, together with his room mate NGUDU. His life has reached an impasse as he is suddenly confronted with the arrival of his 15-year-old daughter Tina whom he hasn’t seen for 10 years. Trouble is: over the distance, he has been faking the life of a rich and successful artist who's got everything, including a big car and a villa. This illusion is now in danger. But Ngudu turns out to be a perfect organizer and finds a villa and a big car for Giorgi.
To make this illusion perfect, Giorgi wants MIA, a wooden-legged soap opera actress, to play his wife. For quite a while the charade works, until Mia´s jealous ex-boyfriend ROCCO arrives on the scene...
Giorgi´s spectacle collapses like a house of cards: The wife – an actress. The villa – a stranger’s place. The assistant – his black lover-to-rent room mate. The lead role in a film – just an extra’s part in an world war drama.
In spite of all these lies, Tina likes her screwed-up dad and makes friends with Ngudu.
Finally Giorgi takes her to the film set, where he is slinged out, after throwing a huge fit for hanging from the gallows for hours.
He might have lost the rotten extra job but he wins back his dignity and his daughter’s respect.
