    • Synopsis
    • Hazal's most fervent wish: a life. Although she has sent out numerous job applications, she hasn't been invited to a single interview. Instead, she is stuck in a training program where she faces constant stereotyping. But on her 18th birthday, Hazal feels powerful. It feels like the good old days, when she and her friends believed they could achieve anything as long as they stuck together. Only when they line up for one of the coolest clubs does Hazal realize that they don't belong there. And she's right—the bouncer rejects them. On the way home, they meet an arrogant student who harasses them. As the confrontation escalates, their anger at life's constant rejections is unleashed in a fateful encounter. Hazal hastily flees to Istanbul, a completely new city in an unfamiliar country. There she must survive on her own, at any cost. ELBOW tells the story of a young woman who is pushed to the margins of society and is determined to remain true to herself.
