    • Synopsis
    • Since 2017, members of the Coral Gardeners Association of Moorea have been mobilizing to replant corals in Moorea. Today, this initiative led by Titouan Bernicot, a 21-year-old resident of the sister island of Tahiti, brings together some volunteers between the ages of 14 and 25. It is above all the result of a discovery: the bleaching of corals due to global warming and the disappearance of these living organisms necessary to marine biodiversity and coastal protection. This documentary aims to highlight the actions of the Coral Gardeners: from collecting corals broken by humans, to fixing these corals on bamboo rods, to the final cuttings on live corals, to raising awareness among the population, especially young people from France to French Polynesia and abroad, and finally through their various "Adopt a Coral" sponsorships.
