    • Synopsis
    • Celiana is 37 years old, and is the psychologist at the Public Primary School for children with special needs in the city of Salta, in northwestern Argentina. She is a dedicated, passionate and determined woman although she is still conflicted by her mental illness. With her strictly planned routine, Celiana works in the morning, has lunch at home, takes care of her plants, spends time with her family and plays soccer. Her moments of introspection and solitude are essential as the protagonist manages to quiet her mind, connect with herself and perform her own rituals. In them, she travels to her own depths to take refuge from her daily life, to express the inexpressible, and to reconnect with her essence which she does not understand, but does feel.

At the age of 26, Celiana suffered a psychotic break. Isolated and cut off from the outside world, she remained locked in her mother's house where she made multiple suicide attempts. After ten years since her psychiatric hospitalization at the Institute of Psychopathology in the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina, she decides to return to Jujuy in search of answers to explain what happened to her. In turn she wants to expand her knowledge of the human brain, particularly from a biological and psychological point of view. She investigates, reads about mental disorders and inquires into her own clinical history. She reunites with, and interviews her psychiatrist, Doctor Maria Calvó and her psychologist, Mercedes Bourdieu. She establishes a relationship with the neuroscientist, Doctor Lucia Alba Ferrara, who conducts a deeper study of Celiana based on the images of her brain. Celiana affirms the error of having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and draws her own conclusions about the disintegration of her self, which she intends to repair and rebuild with the help of various means, including her dreams.

When she dreams, she envisions resolving her problems, understanding her behaviours, her causes, and becoming invincible. Celiana travels to her brain to clean, oil and order her neural connections. She stops in the depths of her being, which she sees as a rough sea in the middle of a storm. There she stays for hours, trying to calm it down.

Celiana's past is juxtaposed with today’s daily life where the protagonist is now a professional psychologist, bisexual, feminist, athlete and activist. Convinced that her life experience can be of help to others, Celiana considers this film as an open invitation to reflect on this personal perspective as part of a constant psychic rehabilitation and an identity re-construction capable of giving meaning and continuity to life itself.
