    • Synopsis
    • In this dark drama comedy, we follow JAKOB BRONSKY,a blonde, blue eyed German Jew and the only member of his family to evade death in the concentration camp. As the sole survivor he takes up
the chance to emigrate to the US. In NYC he finds a precarious home and discovers how extraordinarily hard it is to survive as an outsider. While attempting to write his first novel, JAKOB plumbs the underbelly of the city to scrape together a living. It is the early 50s and NYC feels inhospitable to artists, least of all of the poor immigrants who are trying to make their way creatively.
