    • INTRODUCTION
“HAPPINESS TO ALL” is Yuta SHIMOTSU’s first feature film. He won “The Japan Horror Film Competition” hosted by KADOKAWA CORPORATION, which has produced numerous J-horror films, including the Ringu series. For this film, Takashi SHIMIZU, the master of J-horror well-known for “Juon: The Grudge” (2004), was engaged as an executive producer.
The film describes the terrifying event set in the universe where happiness must be equal to the mass of unhappiness in a very different way from the usual J-horror. The biggest theme of the film is questioning the definition of a human being.
The film stars Kotone FURUKAWA from “Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy” (2021), directed by Ryusuke HAMAGUCHI, which won the Silver Bear Prize at Berlinale in 2021.
