    • Synopsis
    • Since childhood, Berth Milton, a self-made successful entrepreneur, spent his entire life striving for the unrequited love and acceptance of his unstable and emotionally abusive father who was on the fast track to establish himself as the Porn King. After bouncing around from foster homes in Northern Sweden to the constant upheaval of temporary homes from Finland to Sweden with his mother and older sister, he was then put to work by his father at age 11 in the back room of his Sex Shop in Stockholm for slave wages. At age 15, he finally set out to sea in hopes of escaping his life and building a new, happier one for himself.
In the early 90s, after his father took gravely ill and had nearly bankrupt his company, Private Media Group, Berth stepped in to save the company and his father’s life even though he wanted no part of the porn business. Having achieved phenomenal success with Private, the company grew beyond anything imaginable and, in 1998, was the first adult entertainment company to be listed on the NASDAQ.
What should have been an aspirational professional as well as father and son moment, Berth’s success bred nothing but contempt from his father and the media. He spent the next more than decade of his life in a power struggle for the company, his personal life and within himself; it was unconscionable what was happening and the worst was yet to come.
In early 2000s after it was clear his father’s legal proceedings against Berth for control of the company were not producing the desired results, he took more severe steps. Berth’s father took out a contract on his life with the Hell’s Angels.
His family life with his children at risk and a now growing disdain for his father’s antics, espe- cially for a company he never wanted in the first place and only took on to save his father, Berth finally had enough. It is here we see him reach deep down into his soul, the man who only searched for love “You want a war, Pappa. You’re about to get one.”
