Description
The Netherlands Film Fund is the national agency responsible for supporting film production in the Netherlands and activities such as festivals and training. Its focus is to develop and strengthen Dutch cinema and film culture both domestically and internationally. The Film Fund also oversees the activities of the Netherlands Film Commission.
Objective
The annual budget available for funding is approximately 56 million euro of which 21.9 million euro is earmarked for the Film Production Incentive, 13 million euro for the Production Incentive High end series and 4.6 million euro for selective schemes targetting Dutch minority co-productions. Through the Film Production Incentive the Fund focusses on attracting international coproductions to the Netherlands offering a cash rebate up to 35% on eligible Dutch production spend.
