Description
Since 1935, The Museum of Modern Art's Department of Film presents more than 1,200 films yearly. MoMA is the co-organizer of New Directors/New Films, an important international festival, and also organizes touring exhibitions (Tim Burton, Pixar), major retrospectives (Haneke, Ceylan, Wenders, Bigelow, Jonze, etc.), and 50 exhibitions annually including Documentary Fortnight, The MoMA International Festival of Film Preservation, and The Contenders, celebrating the best in contemporary cinema.
