Description
Mer Film was founded by producer Maria Ekerhovd in 2011. Mer Film’s ambition is to develop, produce and distribute Norwegian and international art-house films by directors with a personal artistic vision. We are proud to have attached some of Norway's most exciting filmmaking talent, including Ole Giæver and Iram Haq. In 2015 we founded a distribution company: Mer Filmdistribusjon. Our acquisitions include: THE UNTAMED, THE HERE AFTER, MEDITERRANEA, CEMETERY OF SPLENDOUR and DRIFTERS.
Objective
Working on both production and distribution, we want to establish and develop our director's relationships with audiences locally and internationally and find new ways of connecting with the audience. This year we are releasing three of our own productions in Norwegian cinemas: THE TREE FELLER by Jorunn M. Syversen, FROM THE BALCONY by Ole Giæver and WHAT WILL PEOPLE SAY by Iram Haq. We are also looking for new acquisitions and international co-productions.
