Description

Sam Taylor and Mike Downey founded Film and Music Entertainment in the year 2000. In November 2012 F&ME started shooting on Julien Temple's documentary Children of the Revolution, for the BBC/Arte/Rio Film/Ealing Metro while feature film Epic - directed by Ben Hopkins, financed by the BFI, Georgian Film Fund, Arte, Hessen Film Fund and the DFFF is currently in post production. Sam Taylor's first feature was Milcho Manchevski's Academy Award nominee Before the Rain (1994) which won the Golden Lion in Venice and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Film. Following this success, Sam produced Benjamin Ross' feature debut The Young Poisoner's Handbook (1995), and then Sweet Angel Mine (1996). After a brief excursion into the art world working with Sam Taylor-Wood on her video installation Pent-Up she produced Under the Stars before forming F&ME.
